How to DeClutter Your Life

Declutter your life

If there’s one philosophy I’ve learned throughout the years that I believe, it’s K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid!

We don’t need a life, business or personal, full of clutter.

When you start a business, you do your research. You look up information. Sometimes you find too much information and things become overwhelming. You try to cram it all in, you start using all the ways people say you should start, you try to do all the things people say you should do and it becomes overwhelming. Then it becomes discouraging.

What you have to do is take it a step at a time.

For example, I run a carpet cleaning business. When I started I found so many ideas and forms such as different estimate forms, audit forms for both commercial customers and residential customers, service agreements, appointment forms, you name it, I found them, made them for my business, and printed them. I tried to use them all but it became too much.

When I decluttered my business life, I kept it to a minimum. I use the service agreement form as the estimate form and that became just one form for the customer to sign. Then they get a receipt. Simple.

I don’t spend time sending paperwork through mail anymore, having print, buy stamps, put them in envelopes and mail. Now it’s automated through email. Simple.

You can do the same thing with life. Don’t keep physical things because of “memories” or some shit like that. Memories are in your head. You’re just hoarding. Go through your closets, cabinets, your whole house, if there’s things you haven’t used in 6 months, you most like don’t need it.

Same thing with friends, don’t keep friends just because you’ve known them for a long time. If there are people that haven’t been positive influences in your life for a while, guess what, time to stop spending so much time with them.

A lot of things or people we have in life, we really don’t need. They add more to think about, which could lead to stress. Unnecessary!

So de-clutter your life.

How To Let Small Things Go!

Let Little Things Go

Do you want to have a good day? Don’t let anything ruin it. If you have plans, follow through. If some small problem comes up, let it go.

I know I know. Easier said than done right?

But you need to let small, or even big things go. If you don’t let things get to you, it can ruin your day. Sometimes something bad will happen in your day and you will just be thinking about it and thinking about it and you wont let it go and it ruins your mood.

How To Let Small Things Go

Example: Recently my tablet wasn’t working. It wasn’t responding to touch. So I went and I bought a screen digitizer. I got home and replaced it. Simple. Well guess what? It still did not respond. Maybe it wasn’t the digitizer. Now im out 30 bucks.

My reaction… Oh well. I guess my tablet doesn’t work anymore so i’m going to get rid of it.

I could’ve easily gotten mad. I could have been mad all day that I’m out a tablet and 30 dollars. But what’s the point? That’s not going to fix anything. It’s not going to give me my money back. My tablet is not going to magically be fixed. So I let it go. I move on.

There is a saying – 10% of my day is what happens to me, 90% is how I react. – Charles R. Swindoll

That is very true. A lot of negative things that happen in our day aren’t really negative, they are problems with solutions. But we react negatively towards them that we make them bigger than they need to be. You have to let it go and move on with your day.

If you have a problem that needs to be fixed, but you cant fix it then and there, write it down. Put it on a piece of paper, put it in your pocket or somewhere you will find it later and leave it. When you are ready to fix it, come back to it.

When you are ready, fix it!

Don’t let it ruin your day. Take your day it as it comes.

The only piece of advice i can give you that worked for me~

Will You Ever Be Successful?

Will You Ever Be Successful

If you have to ask that question, then NO. You will never be successful. You are too worried about “finding” success or “trying” to be successful that you are not working at it. You can’t worry about when you will be successful, all you have to do it keep working and hustling and success will find you when it finds you. You won’t even know it. But if you keep waiting for it or looking for it, it will never happen.

Will You Ever Be Successful?

Depends!

You’re either a talker, or a doer!

The talker spends most of his time talking and planning about their DREAMS because that’s exactly what they are, dreams. They just make excuses, they bullshit themselves into believing they are making progress, always thinking “Someday my dream will come.” Never knowing that all it takes, is taking that first step.

But if you’re asking, then you haven’t taken it. One day you’re going to wake up and realized it never happened. It never will because all of the sudden they are old. Nothing ever happened and if you waited that long then it never will because you were never going to do it anyway. It will all be in your memory while you’re still waiting for retirement from your boring 9-5 thinking; “I could have been something” for the rest of your life.

Stop Talking. All it takes if the first step.

Want to start a website: Buy a domain and build the damn thing!

Want to start a T-shirt business: Buy some t-shirts, brand them, and sell them!

Want to start a cab company: Put a down payment on a Ford Crown Victoria and put the asses in seats!

Want to be a plumber: Buy your tools, get the customers!

Whatever it is you want to do, DO IT! Take that first step. Straighten up and realize it is not that hard. Don’t just talk about it. In fact, NEVER mention it to anyone. When you tell people your plans it gives you a sense of accomplishment as if you already achieved something. That is a lose-lose deal. It doesn’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to wait until the right time.

You could do it any time you want to!

But if you have to ask, you will never be successful!

The Do-er spends most of his time working on his GOALS. Making his dreams real. He took that first step and just never stops. He will be a winner!

Are you a talker or a do-er?
